Although the world may try to compromise me
By trying to take away the beauty unseen
And replace it with materialistic desires
That comes from the shadows of my heart

So many ways to go that lead to nothing
If I’m on my own it’s exactly where I’ll go
The sunshine tells me there’s got to be something
That’s not my own but it’s what I need to know

I need to know that I don’t know
I know nothing at all

I don’t have the strength to live a life fulfilled
Unless it comes from the true source of purpose
When I’m moving too fast, I need to stand still
Be calm, relaxed, not nervous

For life is bright just like the sun in the sky
Though the darkness will always be here
But if I turn my other cheek, and open my eyes
I’ll find meaning in the Truth that’s everywhere
